MLA Arvind Bellad Calls for Immediate Suspension of Inspector Tahsildar Over Arrest of Hindu Activist
Hubballi: MLA Arvind Bellad is demanding the immediate suspension of Town Police Inspector MM Tahsildar, accusing him of unnecessarily resurrecting an old issue and arresting an innocent Hindu activist in connection with an alleged violence case reported in 1992.
Bellad alleges that the Siddaramaiah government is engaged in appeasement politics and is specifically targeting Hindus and Hindu activities. On one hand, the government has taken a cabinet decision to release the accused in the Old Hubballi riots, where individuals attempted to set the Old Hubballi police station on fire and tried to kill a police inspector. On the other hand, in this case registered 32 years ago, the government is allegedly targeting Hindus.
He announced plans for a massive protest tomorrow around 11 am in front of the Town Police station to condemn the arrest of Srikanth Poojary and express dissatisfaction with the state government’s stance towards Hindus. Bellad also appealed for the immediate suspension of Police Inspector MM Tahsildar.
